Featured CyberDefendHER: Maria @ Allurity AB
Who are you and what is your work focus?
I’m Maria Lörne, Chief Marketing Officer at Allurity. My focus is on building a strong and credible European cybersecurity brand , making sure our companies continue to shine locally while we grow stronger together as a group.
I work with positioning, communication and growth, but at the heart of it, I work with people. My role is about creating clarity, helping our experts, our companies and our partners articulate the value they bring and connecting that to a bigger purpose: enabling a safe digital world.
How did you get into Cybersecurity? / What excites you most about working in Cybersecurity?
I have always been curious about technology and drawn to industries that are evolving fast. I like being in environments where you constantly need to learn, adapt and think ahead.
When the opportunity came to be part of building Allurity, I simply couldn’t say no. The chance to help create something new, a European cybersecurity group with real ambition, felt both exciting and meaningful. It wasn’t just joining a company; it was being part of shaping a direction.
What keeps me inspired is that cybersecurity truly matters. It’s not abstract. It protects organisations, critical functions and people’s everyday lives. It’s complex, sometimes intense, always evolving and that makes it both challenging and deeply rewarding.
What inspired you to join CyberDefendHERs?
CyberDefendHERs creates a space where women and other underrepresented groups in cybersecurity can be visible, share experiences and support each other. That’s powerful!
For me, it’s also about strengthening the industry. Diverse teams make better decisions. Different perspectives reduce blind spots. In cybersecurity, that it is a strategic advantage.
Why do you think it’s important to share expertise in cybersecurity?
Because we are stronger when we learn from each other.
Threats evolve quickly and across borders. If we work in silos, we fall behind. When we share knowledge, insights and lessons learned, we build collective resilience. Especially in Europe, collaboration is key to staying competitive and secure.
What impact would you like to make through your work?
I would like to contribute to building a strong and confident European cybersecurity voice. I want us to feel united, capable and forward-looking as cyberthreats continue to grow.
On a personal level, I hope I can help create environments where people feel proud of what they do; where they grow, take space and see that their work makes a difference.
If I can combine strategic clarity with human connection, and help others shine along the way, then I feel I’m doing something meaningful.
